The dynamic glass industry is continuing to see a variety of building sectors gain interest in electrochromic glass installations. This interest and excitement about our product has allowed us to complete some very unique, state-of-the-art installations, including our recent installation at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as well as our installation at 71Above, a new high-end restaurant on the 71st floor of the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles.
SageGlass is now featured high above the City of Angels – in the tallest building in the Western United States (for now)! The U.S. Bank Tower has undergone $50 million in renovations recently, bringing new life to the iconic building. So, next time you’re in Los Angeles you’ll want to stop by and check it out for three good reasons:
1. Amazing views and great dining at 71Above. With the installation of SageGlass, 71Above offers unobstructed, 360-degree views of the mountains and Long Beach harbor as well as the iconic Hollywood sign. Restaurant patrons are 71 floors above the city and able to comfortably enjoy the scenic views while enjoying a delicious meal by chef, Vartan Abgaryan.
2. The Glass Slide 1,000 Feet Above Ground. Need I say more? One of the building’s recent renovations was the addition of a glass slide, known as Skyslide, which is suspended 1,000 feet above ground. The slide begins on the 70th floor of the building, and the glass on the slide is thick enough to hold a school bus of people. (We recommend enjoying the slide before dinner.)
3. The OUE Skyspace LA Observation Deck. For those weaker of heart, the U.S. Bank Tower also has a new observation deck on the 70th floor that overlooks the city. This is a nice spot to take in views before or after dinner. OUE Skyspace LA will honor the culture, community and people that make Los Angeles unlike any other city in the world.
We’re thrilled that SageGlass now sits atop the U.S. Bank Tower and we hope you make a reservation at 71Above to check it out next time you’re in sunny California. And, we challenge you to take a ride down the Skyslide!
