Nashville International: IAF & BNA Marketplace
Nashville and the surrounding Middle Tennessee region have emerged as an international destination and the need to accommodate the surge in demand to and from the region has ushered in an era of unprecedented growth for Nashville International Airport. Launched in 2017, BNA® Vision, led by master architect Corgan, is airport’s strategic expansion plan and consists of seven phases spanning over a decade.
The 37,000 m² Terminal Lobby Renovation, the largest of BNA Vision’s projects, was completed with the opening of the new International Arrivals Facility (IAF) and BNA Marketplace in September 2023. This phase of the expansion will allow the airport to significantly increase their capacity for international flights while expanding the dining and retail options available to passengers.
- The IAF includes six new gates designated for international flights and 15 new dining, retail and service amenities, many of which offer passengers a local taste of Nashville
- The design-build team, which included Fentress Architects and Hensel Phelps, specified SageGlass to create an efficient building envelope throughout the terminal spaces
- Large electrochromic curtainwalls were installed throughout BNA Marketplace and the “T-Gates”, offering passengers sweeping views while maintaining a comfortable environment free from glare and excess heat
In addition to the IAF and BNA Marketplace, SageGlass was installed throughout Concourse D and the Delta Sky Club in 2020. In 2024, crews broke ground on the extension of Concourse D which will include an additional 3,300 m² of SageGlass windows.
