Located on a prestigious street in downtown Miami, a new landmark building leverages SageGlass® to save energy and control heat and glare while making a dramatic architectural statement.

The CUBE is a 2,500-square-foot, LEED® certified glass structure at the iconic 1101 Brickell office towers. Currently occupied by a TD Bank branch, the visually stunning building was designed to be eco-smart while enhancing the urban fabric of the area to accommodate more pedestrian-friendly traffic. Its two-story glass design provides customers and employees with plenty of daylight and a clear view of the prominent commercial district outside. Featured on the south and west facades, dynamic SageGlass helps to reduce glare and solar heat gain, enhancing interior comfort while reducing the building’s cooling load.

70% of Miami daylight hours are sunny, with high intensity and UV radiation levels due to the steep angle of the sun, making SageGlass a vital component for an all-glass construction in this part of the world.

The CUBE was inspired by the famous all-glass Apple store on New York’s 5th Avenue, a design that would involve exorbitant energy costs in South Florida without the use of SageGlass.

In addition to improved energy efficiency, the project architect chose SageGlass to showcase the crystalline volume of the building interior and connect it with the outside.
