THE CHALLENGE

The building on the west ring of the Baloise Bank SoBa AG in Solothurn was in need of renovation. The slanting roof in particular presented a major challenge: the previously installed shading system often stopped working due to wind and snow, resulting in frequent maintenance work and high operating costs. For this reason, the building owner needed a low-maintenance building envelope .

THE SOLUTION

The smart glass by SageGlass is ideal for challenging applications such as slanting roofs, as the electrochromic glass functions on the exterior without any mechanical shading elements.
